Hello out there, and sorry for the dearth of updates. Isaac and I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. About the game, about the engine we're writing, and about all kinds of logistics. We've decided we'll need to redesign a few things. Some of the changes will need to be pretty significant. We're happy with the gameplay, but the visuals and overall feel of the game don't match up with our vision quite yet. While we're redesigning, I might not be able to update this site as frequently. But fear not--we're committed to finishing this project and getting the game to all of you. You haven't seen the last of the Cool Yeti. 😎 Thank you so much to all our fans!
One of the great advantages of living in San Francisco is that all the cool gaming conferences happen in our backyard. Isaac and I are pleased to announce that we'll be attending Pocket Gamer Connects on May 14-15! You can find us at our table in the Indie Zone. Hope to see you there!
In our quest to make How I Roll a better game with a great, reusable engine, Isaac and I spend a lot of time researching software engineering tools and practices. Not so long ago, we heard about a new programming language called Dart. There's a lot I could say about it, but I also don't want to bore everyone with my technical programmer ranting. 🗣😜 For now I'll just say that Dart is easy to learn and amazingly powerful, and that we're hoping to leverage that power in our game engine very soon. ⚡️
I just added all the new testers who signed up at the Playcrafting event. Look for an email from TestFlight, and that will have the instructions to install How I Roll. Isaac and I hope you enjoy the game!
A friendly reminder to everyone who's already signed up: please open the TestFlight app occasionally to make sure that you're running the latest version of the game. ✈️ Unfortunately, TestFlight apps don't update automatically, even if the rest of the apps on your iPhone do. Thank you! And thanks for testing! 😀
